I’m Cerissa. I’m a mom of two, a wife, lifestyle photographer, outdoor adventurer, and (JUST AS IMPORTANTLY) concert and cheese fries addict. The first handful of years of motherhood were centered mainly around museums and nature centers, zoos and short walks in parks. While there is still a place for all of that now, in late 2019, when our kids were finally old enough to go on real hikes, I reconnected with the outdoors. And of course following the timeline, with the pandemic, we found ourselves outside for hours upon hours every day. A northern VA resident for my entire life, I suddenly had more time to truly explore familiar places (and beyond those), and bring my family along.

I began The Roaming Momtographer because this comes to me so naturally… Sharing the emotion in my experiences, sharing how places feel, and documenting how I see them.

I’ve always felt that exploration and adventuring were the best teachers for our kids, and the icing? It keeps me grounded. It makes me feel most like myself.

It’s my hope to spark a flame in you to get out there.
